Henry Adelman

Currently, Adelman is the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach back in his hometown of San Luis Obispo, California. He has the privilege of working at California Polytechnic State University. He conducts and programs training for Men’s Soccer, Women’s Basketball, Wrestling, and the Swim/Dive team. He also assists with the Football program.

Prior to this, Adelman was the  Head Football  Strength and Conditioning Coach at Maryville College in Maryville, TN right outside of Knoxville. He earned the opportunity while volunteering his time with the Tennessee Vols and also while being a Sport Performance Coach at D1- Knoxville. During his time at D1, Henry had gotten the chance to work with athletes and clients of all sports, ages, and training levels.

In August of 2020, Adelman resided in Knoxville, Tennessee. When initially moving there, he had been afforded the opportunity as a Football Sport Performance Assistant at the storied University of Tennessee. Prior to Tennessee, Adelman was named a Strength and Conditioning Coaching Assistant in January of 2020 at Fresno State University. He arrived to Fresno in January in 2017 as an intern. From there he earned an opportunity to get his masters degree as a Graduate Assistant, in which he earned his degree in Education with a specialty in Curriculum and Instruction. 

In his time at Fresno State, Adelman has worked with Football, Baseball, Wrestling, Women’s Volleyball, Women’s Soccer, and Equestrian. Adelman came to Fresno after spending one year at Dakota College at Bottineau, a small junior college in North Dakota (2016). In North Dakota, Adelman held the title of Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Adelman is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Henry Adelman was born and raised in Arroyo Grande, CA. He earned his undergraduate degree in applied exercise science from Willamette University 2016. He was a two-year starter at linebacker for the football team, serving as team captain in 2015-16 season, and was an All Conference player.
